Head of R&D Software Department

Zenitel is strengthening the technology leadership and we are now looking for a Head of R&D Software Department

To our Software Department, we are now looking for an experienced and passionate Manager to lead our R&D Software Department in Norway. As Head of Software Department, you will lead our team working with software development (today 13 engineers). You will be part of the Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CTO, and play a key role in shaping the future of our software capabilities.

Key responsibilities:

• Daily management of the Software team in Norway
• Coach, inspire and motivate your team
• Ensure sufficient competent and appropriate resources at all times
• Develop and maintain progress plans and reports, with update to CTO
• Plan and execute improvement initiatives in cooperation with CTO
• Manage departmental costs within the assigned budget and contribute to budget planning
• Competence and career development of software engineers in the department

Competence requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or other relevant technical areas
• Experience from multiple development projects
• Solid experience with people- and line management
• Experience with change management is an advantage
• Native level in Norwegian and English, written and oral
