We’re currently partnered with an exciting AI driven SAAS platform who have recently announced their second round of funding. Backed by top investors and a successful entrepreneur this is an opportunity to work on a full AI native platform and be part of the regions next big SAAS company.

Responsibilities:

• Set the Engineering Vision: Shape the technology roadmap and architecture strategy that enables large-scale AI capabilities and high-performance infrastructure.
• Lead by Doing: Contribute directly to design and development - particularly in backend and infrastructure - while guiding a growing team of engineers.
• Build for Scale: Develop systems that can evolve rapidly as the business grows, focusing on reliability, maintainability, and automation.
• Collaborate Across Functions: Partner closely with product and operations teams to translate business goals into robust technical outcomes.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Define best practices for CI/CD, testing, uptime, and observability while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
• Stay Ahead: Experiment with emerging AI frameworks and infrastructure tools, ensuring the technology stack remains cutting-edge and aligned with market trends.

Qualifications & skills:

• Deep Technical Leadership: Extensive experience architecting and scaling complex AI or SaaS systems in high-growth environments.
• Hands-On Expertise: Strong coding background - ideally with Node.js, Golang, or similar - plus comfort working with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and containerization.
• AI & Infrastructure Acumen: Proven ability to design and manage intelligent, data-driven systems that integrate multiple technologies and services.
• Operational Discipline: Skilled in building DevOps pipelines, automation frameworks, and performance monitoring systems.
• Strategic Thinker: Able to balance long-term scalability with short-term delivery, prioritizing initiatives that generate clear business value.
• Collaborative Communicator: Excels at aligning technical and non-technical teams, driving clarity and momentum across the organization.
• Builder Mentality: Thrives amid ambiguity, creates structure where needed, and leads with a problem-solving mindset.
