DevOps specialist

Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.

 
Introduction:

Robertson is seeking a skilled DevOps specialist to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

Contract Period: 4 months with potential to extend
Pay Rate: Starting from $86 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid
Business Hours: Monday-Friday, Core Business Hours

 
Job Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include designing and operating resilient, high availability systems (active/active, blue/green)
• Optimizing pipelines with Jenkins/GitHub Actions and Git, and implementing and using observability tools such as Dynatrace or Datadog
• Strong IaC and automation skills using Terraform, Ansible, and Python
• Experience automating Angular and Java workflows and accelerating AI development within CI/CD pipelines is a strong plus
  

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree within Computer Science or Engineering required
• 8+ years of Developer, Site Reliability Engineer experience
• 5+ years of DevOps experience
• Deep knowledge of Git Hub Actions or Jenkins or equivalent
• Deep knowledge of cloud engineering/development within Azure Cloud
• Knowledge of deployment patterns - Blue/Green or Active/Active
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong interpersonal skills are required
• Self-motivated, well organized, able to work both independently and in a team environment
  
  Attention to detail and someone who is a self-starter and adaptable
• Prior banking, or fintech experience
• Knowledge of Azure App Service
• Experience writing CI/CD workflows
• Scripting experience - Python or Bash
• Knowledge of AI driven development
