The Role

Surbana Jurong is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the position of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer to support a major power and renewable energy project. The role involves supervising, reviewing, and commissioning I&C systems to ensure design integrity, quality, and compliance with technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review I&C design documents, wiring diagrams, and loop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Supervise installation, calibration, and testing of field instruments, transmitters, and control systems.
• Support programming, logic testing, and commissioning of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
• Verify signal integrity, redundancy, and cybersecurity measures.
• Witness and validate functional and performance testing of I&C systems.
• Review control philosophy, cause-and-effect matrices, and instrument data sheets.
• Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams for system integration and handover.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in I&C systems within the power industry, with at least two renewable energy projects.
• Strong experience with control system commissioning, loop checks, and SCADA/PLC integration.

Key Knowledge and Skills

• Strong understanding of industrial automation, process control, and instrumentation standards.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and system diagnostics.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and efficient project delivery.
