Assignment description

For our client we are looking for an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join their development unit responsible for software development and cloud infrastructure operations. The environment is primarily based on OpenStack and Azure, and in this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and developing the CI/CD infrastructure, driving automation, and ensuring the reliability and security of the systems.

As part of the infrastructure team, you will focus on cloud operations, implementing security improvements, and maintaining development environments. The ideal candidate has a solid technical background and a passion for building secure, scalable, and automated cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and administer OpenStack and Azure cloud environments
• Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines (mainly Jenkins and Zuul)
• Implement security improvements and policies across the cloud-native tech stack
• Support development teams with automation (Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Vault)
• Manage development tools and environments (Gerrit, Jira, Confluence, Artifactory)
• Handle Linux system administration and Scripting (Python/Bash)
• Manage containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker
• Ensure networking and system interoperability with strong security practices

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience with OpenStack and/or Azure operations and administration
• Solid understanding of CI/CD environments and pipeline management
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins (other CI tools are an advantage)
• Strong Linux administration and Scripting skills (Python/Bash)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Vault)
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
• Understanding of networking and security principles in cloud environments
• Experience managing development tools such as Gerrit, Jira, Confluence, and Artifactory
• Ability to work across multiple operating systems (Ubuntu, macOS, Windows)

Location: Jorvas Finland. 3 days at office, 2 days remote. Candidates must already be based in Finland.
