DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer

Come join our team supporting the work of the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg.

As a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining high system availability and smooth deployments. You will design and optimise CI/CD pipelines, automate processes, manage infrastructure, and ensure robust monitoring and incident response. Your work will directly contribute to the stability and efficiency of essential banking operations.

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including release management and automation.
• Administer Unix/Linux systems and develop shell scripts for operational tasks.
• Manage and optimise relational databases (Sybase preferred; Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL also considered).
• Develop automation scripts and support applications using TypeScript, Python, and Java.
• Implement automation testing frameworks for continuous integration and delivery.
• Handle incident management, ensuring timely resolution of production issues under pressure.
• Monitor system performance and reliability using observability tools, and perform tuning for resilience.
• Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to guarantee high availability and smooth deployments.
  
  

• Strong expertise in Azure DevOps, Unix/Linux, and relational databases.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Python, and Java for automation and support.
• Experience with automation testing tools and frameworks.
• Proven track record in incident management and system reliability.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
  

• Previous experience in banking or financial services, with knowledge of regulatory and security requirements.

Applicants should be able to start ASAP. The location is Luxembourg, working in Hybrid mode.
