We are looking for an

OPERATIONS ANALYST

to join Finnair’s Ground Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for translating operational demand, processes, issues and phenomena into data insights and analysis within Ground Operations. You will be the focal point of how we translate operational needs to data and how we leverage the data in our decision-making and development efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Finnair team!

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Maintaining production planning data and analysis needed to secure safe and efficient ground handling operations at all Finnair destinations.
  • Ensuring Ground Operations unit has sufficient data insights in use to optimize, develop and follow-up ground operations performance.
  • Establishing and maintaining ground operations analytics practices with relevant stakeholders.

To Excel In This Role, You Would Have

  • Good communication skills, especially in discussing how to utilize data with a layperson.
  • Process-driven mindset, proven ability of translating operations need into numbers and communicating the results to an audience with limited analytical knowledge.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and data gathering.
  • Expertise in business intelligence tools (preferably PowerBI), strong Excel skills.
  • Basic database understanding, sufficient SQL knowledge to create data queries in Data Build Tool.
  • Basic understanding of operational demand calculations or resource planning.
  • Strong self-leadership.
  • Appropriate degree of education (business or industrial management), bachelor’s or master’s degree in business analytics, business management or similar.
  • Good English language skills, both spoken and written.

Additionally, The Following Qualifications Are Considered An Advantage

  • Experience of data-driven process development methodologies such as six sigma or process mining .
  • Experience with other Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate, PowerApps, Copilot Studio).
  • Experience of using supply chain planning software such as Quintiq.
