The Role

The role involves supervising on-site mechanical installations, ensuring quality and compliance with design, safety, and international standards.

The Role
Surbana Jurong is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the position of Mechanical Engineer to support the construction and commissioning of a major power and renewable energy project. The role involves supervising on-site mechanical installations, ensuring quality and compliance with design, safety, and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of piping, pumps, valves, compressors, and rotating equipment.
- Review mechanical drawings, designs, and materials for compliance.
- Oversee alignment, welding, pressure, and performance testing.
- Ensure adherence to ASME, API, ISO, and project specifications.
- Monitor QA/QC documentation and site progress.
- Coordinate with electrical and I&C teams for system integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in mechanical supervision of power plants, including at least two renewable (preferably wind) projects.
- Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, piping systems, and QA/QC procedures.
- Sound understanding of mechanical codes and standards.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and timely delivery.
