Useful Information

• ⚠️ Open to applicants who are nationals of the EU or hold a valid visa.
• 📑 This is a 12-month, full-time Work Placement (40 hours/week), conducted in person in Amsterdam with a strong possibility of extension based on performance.
• 📨 Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview or test and informed of the selection outcome.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Team Lead, UX/UI and AI developer, and stakeholders.
• Translate sketches and UX/UI prototype designs into code.
• Architect, develop and maintain front-end components.
• Design and implement robust, secure, scalable front-end components optimised for speed and performance.
• Work with the tech team to deploy successful front-end components to production and ensure the final product successfully engages the customer.
• Drive technical excellence by fostering a culture of collaboration through pair programming, code reviews, and establishing robust coding standards.
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, monitoring and observability.

Experience

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a front-end developer.
• Proven track record in architecting and building highly scalable, high-performance SaaS application(s).
• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and React.
• Proficiency in working with both GraphQL and RESTful APIs
• Proficiency in using Material UI for building consistent and visually appealing user interfaces, leveraging its pre-built components and customisation options.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage statement libraries to create performant and reusable frontend components for efficient data manipulation and rendering.
• Experience with AWS is necessary.
• Proven experience in automated testing frameworks (Cypress or Playwright).
• Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on delivering high-quality code.
• Well-organised, disciplined, and capable of handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, without burning out.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
