Our client is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning (ML) Engineer with proven expertise in IBM Watson suite, including Watson Discovery Service, Watson Knowledge Studio, Watson Assistant, and Watson Machine Learning to join their team.
You will work on cutting-edge AI solutions, contributing to the development of intelligent systems and will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, architects, product and business teams to design, implement, and optimize AI/ML models and integrate them into enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy ML models using IBM Watson tools and frameworks.
- Integrate ML models into existing systems or cloud-based environments using IBM Watson APIs.
- Implement and fine-tune NLP models for chatbot development, sentiment analysis, or text analytics using Watson NLP capabilities.
- Work with large datasets to build, train, and evaluate predictive models and algorithms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate them into ML solutions.
- Conduct data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data analysis to derive actionable insights for the business.
- Perform model evaluation, A/B testing, and performance tuning to optimize accuracy, efficiency and scalability in production environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI/ML, implementing best practices.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for models, APIs, workflows, and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields. Certifications in IBM Watson or related AI/ML fields would be a plus.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Python development; Machine Learning; Natural Language Processing such as text classification, named entity recognition, and sentiment analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, or a similar programming language for data manipulation and model development, with a focus on ML libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn etc.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud or similar platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying ML models.
- Strong background in ML algorithms, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software development principles.
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases for data extraction and manipulation.
- Familiarity with designing and consuming RESTful APIs, especially Watson APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to work.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid experience implementing ML models in real-time systems
- Strong research and innovation skills and ability to solve difficult vision and learning problems
- Prior experience working in an AI-driven company, tech or IT Consulting environment.
