At Metro we are committed to making the journey better for all Tasmanians. We are delivering a bold program of transformation, and we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to play a vital role in the implementation of intelligent transport system initiatives.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on defining and documenting business needs, workflows, and processes together with using insights and data to drive decision-making and shape the future operating model. You will be able to translate complex requirements into actionable recommendations and clear documentation, ensuring business outcomes are aligned with user and operational needs. This is a fixed term contract role until 30 June 2027.
About You
The ideal candidate will be analytical and collaborative – a problem solver who enjoys untangling complexity and delivering clarity.
You Will Have
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills with proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders and negotiate complex issues.
- Experience with business process modelling using BPMN or similar methodologies.
- An understanding of and demonstrated application of BABoK.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies, practices and processes, and a growth mindset for digital transformation.
- Ability to create insightful reports, dashboards and presentations to support decision making.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
