Role: HR Generalist

Position Overview
We are seeking an HR Generalist to be based in Istanbul. This role will have end-to-end responsibility for HR operations in Turkey, ensuring compliance with local labor law, supporting business growth, and proactively partnering with managers. Occasional travel to the various areas of Turkey region may be required.
This is a hands-on and versatile role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment and is excited to shape HR practices in a dynamic setting. We are seeking a hands-on founding member to single-handedly establish and lead the HR function for our operations in Turkey, Istanbul. This is a true 'builder' role, requiring a professional who is not only a strategic thinker but also thrives on executing day-to-day operational and administrative tasks autonomously. You will be the sole point of contact and expert for both the local entity and our international hubs
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full HR lifecycle in Turkey, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance support, and exit processes.
- Ensure compliance with Turkish labor law and lead the local adaptation of global policies.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation, contracts, and personnel files.
- Partner with managers to understand staffing needs and deliver effective recruitment solutions.
- Organize and support training, engagement, and development initiatives in alignment with HQ and local requirements.
- Act as the first point of contact for HR queries across the business.
- Collaborate with the overseas HQ on global HR initiatives while tailoring solutions for the Turkish market.
- Drive process improvements and propose proactive HR solutions that support business growth.
Requirements
- Strong and comprehensive knowledge of Turkish labor law.
- Proven HR experience in Turkey, ideally in a generalist role.
- Excellent language skills: Turkish and English language is mandatory, Russian will be an advantage
- Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial/startup environments (preferred).
- Proactive, business-oriented mindset with the ability to execute operationally.
