Junior Data Scientist

Position Summary

• A motivated Junior Data Scientist is sought to join a growing team. This role suits an early-career professional with approximately one year of experience and a strong interest in data-driven decision-making. A solid foundation in Python, basic statistical knowledge, and a desire to develop skills in analytics and machine learning are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional teams to support model development and analytical initiatives.
• Clean, structure, and analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts, analytical tools, and data workflows.
• Assist in building and testing statistical and machine-learning models.
• Create clear reports, visualizations, and presentations to communicate findings.
• Support model monitoring and performance evaluation tasks.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Python and familiarity with key data libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
• Basic understanding of linear models and statistical concepts.
• Experience handling datasets and performing exploratory analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Dubai, UAE after an initial remote period.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with SQL or similar data-querying tools.
• Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is advantageous.
• Previous internship or project experience involving data analysis or machine learning.
