CCNP Network Engineer - Daily rate contract
My client based in Limerick are currently seeking Network Engineer with CCNP-level expertise to join our team on a daily rate contract in Limerick.
This role requires strong skills in routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and Palo Alto firewalls. The successful candidate will work onsite, collaborating with the IT team to support, optimize, and secure network infrastructure, including patching and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot Cisco network infrastructure (routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN).
- Manage and optimize Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring robust security policies and configurations.
- Perform patching and firmware upgrades across networking and security infrastructure.
- Support network performance monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical projects.
- Ensure network compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Maintain documentation and provide technical guidance as needed.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- CCNP-level expertise in Cisco networking (Routing, Switching, Wireless, SD-WAN).
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls (configuration, security policies, troubleshooting).
- Strong experience in patching and firmware upgrades across network infrastructure.
- Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Experience with enterprise networking environments and troubleshooting complex network issues.
