Your Assignment

As a Graduate Trainee in Software Development Engineering, you will be immersed in the core of our software engineering efforts within the Cardiovascular Informatics domain. This role is designed for those eager to actively engage in hands-on development and automation tasks alongside experienced developers.

  • Technology Immersion: Dive deep into our technology stack, software development methodologies, and automation frameworks, preparing you to make impactful contributions to our tech-driven environment from day one.
  • Process Automation and Improvement: Take a hands-on role in identifying automation opportunities within existing workflows. Develop and implement automation scripts and tools that are essential for enhancing operational efficiency and fostering innovation.
  • Active Technical Engagement: Play an active role in a scrum team, contributing directly to product development and DevOps initiatives. Fully participate in technical meetings, training sessions, peer code reviews, and collaborative events with industry leaders, enhancing both products and processes through your engagement.
  • Proactive Learning and Innovation: Engage deeply in complex software engineering tasks and automation challenges, demonstrating a proactive approach to learning and technical development. Leverage your recent academic experiences to introduce novel ideas and emerging technologies, adapting swiftly to evolving project environments and expanding your technical proficiency through real-world applications.

As a GDP trainee you will receive a 2.5 years, full time employment contract with excellent labor conditions.

You're The Right Fit If

  • You have completed a Bachelor's or Master's study in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field and you are available per 1st of March 2026 ;
  • Max 1 years of work experience straight after your graduation. Preferably you have experience with cloud-native environments, DevOps processes, and automation practices. You master technical skills such as Cloud Computing and DevOps Practices, CI/CD Toolchains and Automation, Modular Software Design, React/TypeScript Expertise, API Design and Testing, Software Testing and Automation;
  • You need to have excellent English communication skills, both in speech and writing, to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders;
  • You are a team player as you will work in cross-functional teams;
  • You need to have strong analytical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing business needs.

How We Work Together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.

Recruitment process

If you are interested in joining the Philips Graduate Development Program, please apply online at the latest on the 7th of December, by uploading your CV and/or motivation letter.

  • Within 1 week after your application, you will be informed whether you passed the pre-selection round, and if yes, you will be invited to perform a gamified test and video interview.
  • After the test and video interview we will come back to you at the latest on the 19th of December where we will let you know if you will be invited for an online interview with the Early Career Talent Partner.
  • You will be informed latest on the 16th of January 2026 whether you belong to the best performers, and if so, you will be invited for the final face to face interviews, which will take place in Eindhoven, between 26th of January and the 4th of February 2026.
  • In the same week, we will share with you the outcome of these interviews.
  • Start date will be 1st of March 2026
