Bitvavo is looking for you - an ambitious Payroll Specialist who thrives on precision and efficiency. Are you ready to take ownership of payroll operations in a fast-paced and innovative environment? Join our Finance team and play a crucial role in supporting our growing workforce.

What is the role about?

We are on the mission to become the European Market Leader in cryptocurrency exchange. In the next couple of years, we will be considerably expanding our operations all around Europe and you will have the opportunity to be part of it. As our team continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled and dedicated Payroll Specialist to support our employees both locally and internationally.

As a Payroll Specialist you will ensure that our employees are paid accurately and on time. You will be the go-to expert for all payroll matters and play a key role in creating a smooth payroll process.

How will you make an impact?

  • Manage and execute end-to-end payroll for employees in the Netherlands and other EMEA locations
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch tax laws, labor regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with People team to maintain up to date employee data
  • Liaise with various external stakeholders such as payroll providers, tax advisors and tax authorities
  • Handle employee inquiries about payroll, taxes and benefits
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Reconcile payroll GL accounts and keep track of WKR accruals
  • Prepare and provide payroll related reports to support financial audits and internal reporting

How will you be successful?

  • Practical Diploma in Payroll Administration (PDL)
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch tax regulations and social security
  • Familiarity with international payroll is a plus
  • Hands on experience with HCM and payroll software
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English (spoken and written)
