Network Deployment Engineers (Multiple)

Hands-on network engineers needed for a large-scale on-site deployment project in Canberra.




Your new company

A large-scale network deployment is underway across 15 core sites for a major institution. This is a multi-year program with strong potential for contract extensions. The work is strictly project-focused. Engineers will be dedicated to roll out activities and will not be involved in business-as-usual (BAU) operations. The deployment team will work alongside internal network operations but will remain focused solely on delivery.

Your new role

We're building a new team of hands-on Network Engineers and are open to both senior and junior profiles:

• Senior Engineers: Expected to take ownership of tasks, mentor junior staff, and help drive project outcomes.
  
• Junior Engineers: Needed for physical deployment tasks such as racking, stacking, and commissioning switch stacks.
  

This role is implementation-focused and does not involve design or architecture work.

What you'll need to succeed

• The network is transitioning from Cisco to Arista.
  
• While Arista experience is preferred, engineers with strong Cisco backgrounds are encouraged to apply, training will be provided.
  
• Some exposure to automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a bonus, but not essential.
  
• The automation component is part of the broader solution but is not the core focus of this role.
  
• Proactive and comfortable with hands-on deployment work
• Experienced in racking, stacking, and commissioning network equipment
• Open to learning Arista if coming from a Cisco background.
• Team players who can work independently and support others
• Available to start quickly and commit to a long-term project
