We are looking for a Full Stack Backend Developer to join a dynamic and international team responsible for the end-to-end delivery of developer-facing products and platforms. You will work alongside backend and frontend engineers, API specialists, and cloud/infra experts to design, build, and maintain high-performance solutions that serve developers, partners, and customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using .NET Core and Python/Django stacks
  • Build and optimize microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Implement automated testing, observability, and security across services
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code deployments
  • Develop APIs with robust authentication, rate limiting, and versioning
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and product owners to deliver high-quality features
  • Support and mentor peers, perform code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions
  • Troubleshoot and improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.


To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), clean code, SOLID principles, and design patterns
  • Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous messaging
  • Skilled with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Proficient in RESTful API design, OpenAPI/Swagger, and OAuth2
  • Hands-on experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of security best practices, observability, and monitoring
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, ownership-driven mindset
  • Visa requirements: Dutch / EU Citizen; or authorised to work in the Netherlands (Permanent Resident, or work permit / HSM visa holder)

NET Core (C#) Stack – Must-have:

  • C# 10+ with .NET 6–9
  • ASP.NET Core Web API, YARP
  • Dependency Injection, Middleware, Filters
  • Async programming
  • Entity Framework Core or Dapper
  • Unit/integration testing (xUnit, FluentAssertions)
  • Logging, tracing, and monitoring
  • OAuth2, API versioning, rate limiting, model validation
  • OpenAPI/Swagger

 

Python / Django Stack – Must-have:

  • Python 3.9+
  • Django & Django REST Framework
  • ORM (Django ORM / SQLAlchemy)
  • Celery / Redis for background tasks
  • OAuth2 authentication
  • pytest / unittest
  • Kubernetes
  • Logging (Sentry)
  • REST API best practices


Nice-to-have:

  • Orleans (virtual actor model / grains)
  • Event-driven patterns (NATS / SNS / SQS)
  • ClickHouse integration for analytics
  • Redis caching
  • ECS Fargate deployments
  • AWS CDK (TypeScript)


AWS Cloud-native Skills:

  • AWS Lambda, ECS (Fargate), DynamoDB
  • AWS CDK (TypeScript), CloudFormation
  • S3, CloudWatch, IAM, API Gateway, Secrets Manager
  • Monitoring & tracing (X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch Logs)
  • Event-driven flows (EventBridge, SNS/SQS/NATS)


Data & Messaging:

  • ClickHouse schema design and query optimization
  • NATS JetStream (publish/subscribe, stream management)
  • Redis caching and rate limiting
  • DynamoDB (schema design, indexes, partitions)


DevOps & Tooling:

  • CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket)
  • Docker Compose / Aspire for local dev
  • Observability with OpenTelemetry, Serilog, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager / Parameter Store)
  • Git, code reviews, linting, and code quality tools
