We are seeking an experienced Product Manager who will be reporting into our Director of Product Management. You will be defining, planning, and executing the product strategy and roadmap. As a Product Manager, you will grow the YouTrip product, actively improving the product experience and expanding its functionality and value to our users in collaboration with cross-functional teams. You should have a strong background in customer-centric product development, and you should be expected to define success metrics and constantly measure the impact of our work.
You will:
- Drive the creation and alignment of the product roadmap for the Australia market, leveraging deep understanding of local customer needs, market trends, competitor landscape, and cultural nuances
- Define and track metrics related to product success and the performance of new features in Australia
- Prepare clear requirements for compelling product launches, factoring in legal, compliance, and financial requirements, and translate these into clear PRDs
- Manage complex integrations, including working with external parties/vendors, to ensure clear scoping and timely delivery
- Communicate requirements effectively with engineering and other stakeholders (both written and verbal)
- Coordinate successful launches of new features in the Australia market, including go-to-market planning, customer communications/FAQs, financial reconciliation needs, and release planning (with de-risking or alpha/beta tests as needed)
- Exercise sound judgment when defining the scope of each project, balancing local stakeholder needs, customer requirements, and business trade-offs.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time
- 2-5 years of outstanding and relevant product management experience, with a proven track record of delivering business outcomes and moving key metrics
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to clearly articulate options and trade-offs, demonstrating strong product judgment in recommendations
- A customer-first mindset, with the ability to design and deliver products that provide a delightful, seamless experience tailored to the Australian market
- Experience building workflows/processes that help scale the business while ensuring both optimal market impact and customer satisfaction
- Experience working on consumer mobile applications is preferred
- Experience launching products in new or international markets is a plus
- Background in Australia (ideally having studied, lived or worked there), with strong cultural understanding and customer empathy, is a plus
