Monthly salary: $3,500 - $4,000 USD


Along with our partner, we are seeking a Software Development Engineer on the Global Money Movement team. In this role, they will play a critical role in modernizing infrastructure by supporting the migration of legacy systems to scalable, cloud-native solutions. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones and work with a variety of technologies—including PHP, Java, Go (Golang), and AWS—to deliver high-quality, reliable, and maintainable systems. This role places a strong emphasis on ownership, technical excellence, and cross-team collaboration.


You Will:

  • Migrate legacy systems: Transition existing PHP codebases to modern technologies and replace direct database calls with scalable APIs calls.
  • Collaborate globally: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including those in different time zones—to ensure seamless migrations. Flexibility for early morning or late evening meetings may be required.
  • Drive technical excellence: Ensure migrations are built with a focus on reliability, observability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Adapt in a fast-paced environment: Thrive in a dynamic setting where domain ownership and technical landscapes evolve rapidly.
  • Partner with stakeholders: Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate migration goals into technical solutions and deliver impactful results.


You Have:

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong PHP expertise required.
  • Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred; Azure or Google Cloud also valued)
  • A strong track record of building, shipping, and maintaining production software
  • Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Java or Go (Golang) is a valuable nice-to-have.
  • Flexibility to adjust your working hours to support distributed teams when necessary
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for cross-team communication and problem-solving
