Senior/Lead Backend Developer (Java / Spring Boot / Kafka)

Location: 100% Remote, open to occasional business travel if needed.

Schedule: 1 FTE (40 hours per week)

Contract: 12-month full-time contract, with potential for extension.

We’re looking for experienced Backend Developers to join a cross-functional product team building impactful enterprise solutions. You’ll focus on backend development for web applications, working with modern technologies and contributing to meaningful, end-to-end use cases.

What You’ll Be Doing

Developing backend components for enterprise web applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Designing smart, scalable solutions and breaking them down into MVP iterations.
Writing well-tested code, covering both happy paths and edge cases.
Creating realistic mockups and synthetic data for early testing.
Collaborating with frontend developers, testers, analysts, and DevOps engineers.
Taking ownership and proactively reaching out for alignment and support.
Delivering user-centric experiences that improve everyday workflows.

You’ll be successful if you have

Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Confluent Kafka, KStreams, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Keycloak
Familiarity or willingness to engage with React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Material-UI, Redux, NGINX, Jira, Confluence
A proactive mindset and ability to work independently in a remote setup
Excellent communication skills in English
For Lead Developers: senior-level experience, ability to mentor others, and drive technical decisions
