E-Commerce Project Manager (Retail – Domain Rollouts) – Freelance

We are seeking an E-Commerce Project Manager to join one of our customers in the retail sector for a long-term freelance mission. The consultant will oversee several e-commerce rollout projects across the company’s Belgian and Italian domains.

The initiative forms part of a wider digital transformation roadmap to modernize the customer’s online platforms and improve omnichannel experiences across their European retail brands.

This role is ideal for a consultant with strong experience in digital or e-commerce delivery, capable of coordinating multiple stakeholders (business, IT, marketing, logistics) and managing vendor relationships to ensure successful implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multiple e-commerce rollout projects across Belgian and Italian markets
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with stakeholders
• Manage external vendors, digital agencies, and internal technical teams
• Oversee functional, technical, and UX streams to ensure smooth deployment
• Ensure consistency in brand identity, functionality, and customer experience across domains
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and critical path items
• Prepare and deliver progress reports and steering committee updates
• Support post-launch stabilization, optimization, and feature enhancement phases

Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in digital, e-commerce, or retail environments
• Proven success delivering multi-country or multi-domain e-commerce projects
• Excellent stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills
• Familiarity with omnichannel retail operations and digital marketing processes
• Fluent in French / Italian is a strong asset
