DevOps Engineer, DevOps Platforms
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps Platforms team, a critical part of our broader Technology Platform offering. This is a permanent, full-time position starting as soon as the suitable candidate is found.
The DevOps Platforms team provides Gitlab and pipeline support for development teams. Develops internal development portal based on Spotify Backstage. Team also builds and manages productized cloud-based release and configuration management tools that enable fast, efficient, and scalable product deployments and configuration management for Veikkaus, and for international B2B customers.
You will work alongside a team of 10 talented developers and engineers, collaborating closely with developers inside Veikkaus and other stakeholders to deliver robust, automated, and scalable DevOps solutions.

The position is located at Veikkaus' headquarters in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki. We work flexibly in a hybrid model. To foster collaboration and effective teamwork, we meet at the office three times a week.

DevOps Engineer, DevOps Platforms

In This Role, You Will
- Help development teams to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines on Gitlab
- Maintain scalable Gitlab runners
- Develop and administer IDP (Backstage)
- Support and guide development teams in adopting DevOps best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to deployment, automation, and configuration management
You’ll Succeed In This Role If You Have
- Strong knowledge of Gitlab administration, runners and pipelines
- Experience in IDP development, preferably Spotify Backstage
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience to use Terraform and Helm in production environment
- Availability to work from our office at least three times a week
- Scripting experiences (Bash and/or Python)
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Experience from software development, preferably Javascript frameworks
- Practical understanding of Agile development practices
- Experience from AI assisted work
