Data & Analytics Leader
Are you ready to lead and grow a dynamic Data Engineering team within a well-established consultancy known across Norway across public and private sector.
We’re partnered with a respected mid-sized technology consultancy that has earned a strong reputation for delivering impactful solutions across the Norwegian market. Their core strength lies in Microsoft Business Solutions, software development, and infrastructure projects, serving a broad range of industries including logistics, retail, energy, and nutrients. Now, they’re expanding their Data team and looking for a leader to be the cornerstone of their growing Data & AI practice.
As Data Engineering Lead, you will:
- Drive the design and implementation of scalable data architectures and pipelines
- Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary data team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement both internally and with their clients
- Lead the team in building data platforms on cloud environments including Databricks, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure
- Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment between technical execution and business outcomes while managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.
- Leverage AI and machine learning to deliver cutting-edge solutions for clients
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Balance hands-on engineering work with leadership responsibilities, potentially including mentoring and team growth
- Influence technology strategy and help expand the consultancy’s Data & Analytics offerings
- Act as a trusted advisor for enterprise clients, driving long-term partnerships
What You Bring
- Proven experience working with multi cloud platforms within Data engineering
- Experience in leading a team along with having a commercial mindset.
- Strong knowledge of building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration from diverse sources (including streaming data)
- Proven experience in project leadership, client relationship management, some sales and adapt to market trends
- Experience with AI/ML technologies and applying them within data platforms
- Ability to design data models, data lakes, and warehouse solutions that support analytics and reporting
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and a passion for customer success
- Leadership experience or aspiration, with the ability to grow and inspire a small but ambitious data team
