We are looking for a Senior Package Engineer (Hydraulic/Mechanical) to manage and follow up mechanical and hydraulic equipment packages for NOV APL projects.
This is primarily an administrative coordination role, not a design position. The engineer will handle supplier management, fabrication follow-up, documentation control, and quality assurance of packages. Familiarity with hydraulic schematics and diagrams (AutoCAD 2D) is required.
You will ensure compliance with NOV standards, project specifications, and third-party requirements, while coordinating closely with suppliers, engineers, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage assigned hydraulic/mechanical E/P/C/I packages.
- Act as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) ensuring technical compliance and progress.
- Follow up suppliers and fabricators, ensuring quality, schedule, and documentation delivery.
- Handle technical queries, inspections, and supplier meetings (including HSE aspects).
- Review and approve hydraulic schematics, technical data, and reports.
- Support junior engineers and promote process improvements.

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (with hydraulic knowledge).
- 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical/hydraulic systems and package management.
- Experience in supplier and fabrication follow-up and small-scale project coordination.
- Understanding of offshore systems and fabrication processes.
- Fluent in English (oral and written); Norwegian is an advantage.
- AutoCAD 2D (hydraulic schematics and diagrams)
- Autodesk Vault, Navisworks, ProArc, Once
- Experience with turret systems or steel structure fabrication.
- Offshore or marine project background.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Comfortable interacting with different supplier personalities.
