Our client, Imperial Tobacco Austria Marketing & Service GmbH, is the Austrian sales and marketing subsidiary of the Imperial Tobacco Group, the world’s fourth-largest tobacco company. Imperial Tobacco ranks third in the Austrian tobacco market. The company is currently seeking a Market Intelligence Manager with hands-on mentality and leadership experience (managing a small team) for a permanent position, starting as soon as possible.


Tasks

  • Market & Business Insights: Generate actionable insights from market data, research, and innovation to support strategic decision-making and gain competitive advantage
  • KPI Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and track key executional KPIs, ensuring structured reporting and evaluation across market activities
  • Forecasting & Scenario Planning: Lead volume forecast planning (short- and long-term), including scenario planning to support business deliveries and supply chain coordination
  • Strategic Business Planning: Identify market opportunities, lead strategic planning projects, and oversee the company’s business planning processes
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Ensure comprehensive market information (sales, trade, consumer, pricing) is available and used across departments for decision-making
  • Innovation & Methodology Development: Continuously improve analytical methodologies and forecasting techniques to enhance performance and delivery
  • Financial Impact Analysis: Monitor market changes and provide insights to Finance to assess P&L impact and ensure accurate LE submissions
  • Leading a small team of 3 Analysts


Profile

  • Completed commercial education or a degree in business/economics, data science, statistics, or a related analytical field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a business intelligence, analytics, data management role or a comparable position
  • Professional experience ideally gained within the pharmaceutical or FMCG industry
  • Strong understanding of innovation processes as well as market and consumer trends, with the ability to interpret them effectively and derive actionable recommendations
  • Proven experience in team leadership
  • Ability to present and communicate complex data in a clear and understandable way
  • Fluent English skills (business level) and at least B2 Level of German
  • Strategic mindset, excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels, and experience in implementing change initiatives

A gross monthly salary starting from EUR 5,800 is offered for this position. Overpayment is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
