About the Organisation

A rapidly scaling defence technology business is expanding its senior commercial team. Backed by recent strategic investment and with solutions deployed across multiple regions, the company is entering a hypergrowth phase and strengthening its global partner ecosystem within the defence sector.

The Opportunity

They are seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to establish and deepen long-term, executive-level collaborations with major defence primes, system integrators, and platform providers worldwide. This is not a reseller role; it is focused on creating strategic, co-development, and integration partnerships that embed the company’s advanced technology solutions into partner offerings and defence programmes.

In this role, you will work closely with senior commercial and executive leadership to define and execute a global partnership strategy that delivers measurable commercial and strategic outcomes within the defence and aerospace ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global partnerships strategy targeting leading defence primes, integrators, and platform providers.

• Build trusted, executive-level relationships with partner organisations across defence and aerospace markets.

• Drive joint go-to-market, co-development, and integration initiatives with partners.

• Represent the business at industry forums, defence trade events, and partner engagements.

• Align internal teams (commercial, product, technical) to partner requirements, roadmaps, and programme timelines.

• Provide market and partner insight to shape the company’s strategic direction in defence markets.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5+ years in strategic partnerships, alliances, or senior commercial roles within complex B2B or regulated defence/aerospace sectors.

• Proven track record forming and executing multi-year partnerships with defence primes or large system integrators.

• Experienced engaging C-suite and executive stakeholders, influencing cross-organisational outcomes.

• Comfortable operating in a fast-growth, globally distributed organisation.

• Strategic thinker who is hands-on and delivery oriented, with strong commercial instincts.

• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills in defence or high-security environments.

Cultural Fit & Why Join

This is a high-velocity, purpose-driven environment that combines corporate scale with start-up agility. The role offers genuine strategic influence, global reach, and the opportunity to build long-term partnerships that will define how the company scales internationally. Competitive package, clear progression, and high visibility within the leadership team.
