From designing and executing robust performance test strategies across API, Web, and Mobile platforms to identifying system bottlenecks and optimizing application scalability,you’ll play a key role in ensuring our digital channels deliver reliable, responsive, and high-performance experiences for our customers.

About The Role

We’re seeking a hands-on Performance Test Engineer with strong expertise in JMeter / K6 /Gatling or equivalent performance testing tools, and a deep understanding of performance behavior across API, Web, and Mobile applications. The ideal candidate will be skilled at

analyzing metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and collaborating closely with Development,DevOps, and SRE teams to ensure optimal system scalability and stability that meets defined SLAs and user-experience benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts for API, Web, and Mobile platforms using JMeter / K6 / Gatling or equivalent performance testing tools
  • Define and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests to assess system behavior under varying conditions
  • Analyze application performance across frontend, middleware, and backend layers to identify potential bottlenecks
  • Build realistic workload models and performance baselines aligned with business transactions and traffic patterns
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, mobile app, and infrastructure teams to identify and resolve performance issues
  • Conduct detailed root-cause and bottleneck analysis, recommending tuning and optimization solutions
  • Integrate performance testing within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab)for continuous validation
  • Utilize APM and observability tools such as Dynatrace and Grafana for performance visualization and alerting
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) — response time, throughput, latency,error rate, and resource utilization
  • Prepare and present detailed performance reports and dashboards for leadership and technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing and engineering
  • Strong proficiency with JMeter / K6 / Gatling or equivalent performance testing tools
  • Proven experience in testing API, Web, and Mobile applications for performance and scalability
  • Good understanding of frontend rendering, API latency, and backend throughput analysis
  • Exposure to mobile performance testing tools (e.g., Firebase Test Lab, BrowserStack, Android Profiler, Xcode Instruments)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and integration of performance tests into build pipelines
  • Experience with Dynatrace, Grafana, or equivalent observability platforms for performance visualization and alerting
  • Familiarity with containerized and cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS,Azure)
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and system-tuning skills
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in capacity planning and scalability assessments across digital channels
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Groovy, or Shell) for automation and data correlation
  • Familiarity with database performance tuning (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
  • Certification in Performance Testing / Engineering (e.g., JMeter Certified Tester, LoadRunner Professional) is an advantage
  • Strong sense of ownership and collaboration mindset across cross-functional teams
  • Self-driven and adaptable with attention to detail in fast-paced environments
