Job Description

This is a Permanent role with one of the Series C funded startup in fintech domain - A valued client of

Hiredahead.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development: Lead the design and implementation of new features and microservices within our core Fintech platform using either Java (Spring Boot, Microservices) or GoLang (Gin, Echo, Goroutines).
System Scalability & Reliability: Optimize application performance, enhance scalability, and ensure the high availability and reliability of our production systems, handling high transaction volumes.
Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code. Participate actively in code reviews, driving a culture of engineering excellence and adherence to industry best practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, DevOps, and other engineering teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality products.
Troubleshooting & Support: Debug and resolve complex issues across the platform, including production incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to our services.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and technical mentorship to SDE 1 and junior team members.

Required Qualifications & Skills ✅

Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on building and scaling back-end services.
Programming Mastery: Strong expertise in one of the following:

Java: In-depth knowledge of Java 8+ and solid experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security).
GoLang: Proven experience developing concurrent and performant applications using native Go features (goroutines, channels).

Database Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB). Experience with writing complex queries and optimizing database performance.
Architecture: Experience designing and working with Microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
API Design: Proficiency in designing and implementing robust, secure, and scalable RESTful APIs.
Tools & Infrastructure: Experience with version control (Git), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
