Position Summary

The Part-Time Data Analyst supports Lowe’s business teams by turning data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. This role is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented individual who enjoys problem-solving, visualizing trends, and collaborating across departments to improve business performance.

You’ll work closely with merchandising, supply chain, and operations teams to extract, clean, analyze, and visualize data, helping Lowe’s optimize processes and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and interpret data from multiple sources (e.g., sales, customer behavior, inventory, and operations).
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
  • Support senior analysts and business partners with ad hoc analysis and data requests.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
  • Present insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 1+ year of experience in a data analysis or reporting role (internship or professional).
  • Proficiency with Excel and at least one data visualization or BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Basic understanding of SQL and data querying.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or supply chain analytics.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, Google BigQuery).

Work Schedule & Compensation

  • Part-time: 20–25 hours per week (flexible scheduling available).
  • Hybrid or remote options may be available based on location and department needs.
