In this role, you will be essential in safeguarding industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) networks across complex process environments. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing secure network architectures that protect our customers' automation assets, ensuring reliability, safety, and peace of mind.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead Cybersecurity Design & Architecture – Develop secure OT network architectures using defence-in-depth strategies, network segmentation, and secure remote access principles that balance performance, safety, and protection.
  • Execute Engineering Solutions – Support the Lead Engineer in delivering cybersecurity tasks such as risk assessments, security control implementation, and ensuring compliance with client and industry requirements.
  • Integrate Cybersecurity Across Projects – Work with project managers to embed cybersecurity into every project stage, from design and procurement through to configuration and delivery.
  • Validate & Test Systems – Conduct cybersecurity-focused Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT) to ensure secure configurations and compliance.
  • Secure Commissioning & Deployment – Oversee on-site installations and commissioning to confirm secure deployment, proper network zoning, and verified protection tools.
  • Harden & Protect Systems – Configure OT networks and IT systems with secure protocols, role-based access, patch management, and system hardening to minimise vulnerabilities.
  • Manage Risk & Change – Control design changes with a cybersecurity focus, ensuring traceability, risk mitigation, and alignment with secure engineering practices.
  • Be the Go-To Expert – Act as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating with global teams, sharing threat intelligence, supporting proposals, and guiding customers on cybersecurity best practices.

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity in OT/ICS environments.
  • Degree in computer engineering, chemical engineering or other relevant degree, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as GICSP, CISSP, or ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Certificate
  • Strong technical knowledge of Industrial Control Systems, including SCADA, DLC, PLC, SIS, and Operational Technology cybersecurity.
  • Experience designing and implementing secure network solutions, including segmentation, access control, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems in an industrial environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 62443, NIST CSF, and AESCSF, along with the ability to apply them in practical, real-world settings.
  • Hands-on understanding of industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and PROFINET.
  • Proficiency in network engineering – VLANs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and DMZs
  • Proactive, customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and reliable outcomes.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside multiple teams.
  • Problem-solving approach, balancing security, safety, and operational performance in complex process environments.
  • A genuine interest in continuous learning and contributing to a safer, smarter, and more secure industrial future.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in process automation or industrial networking in a similar industry.
  • Knowledge of cloud integration, digital transformation, or IIoT security.
