Responsibilities
- Lead project startup activities: contracts, insurance, WCB notices, bonds, etc.
- Manage project documentation and reporting using Timberline and Microsoft tools (labour, materials, equipment, submittals, schedules, meeting minutes, change orders).
- Interface with subtrades, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Collaborate with Site Superintendents to deliver high-quality projects on schedule and budget.
- Serve as the primary client contact, maintaining positive relationships with architects, consultants, and owners.
- Continuously monitor budgets, proactively managing costs and reporting to leadership.
- Prepare monthly progress claims and review/approve subtrade and supplier invoices.
- Experienced: 5–10 years in commercial construction, ideally as a Project Manager or Site Superintendent.
- Knowledgeable: strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and technical requirements.
- Driven & Energetic: takes ownership of projects and pushes initiatives forward with enthusiasm.
- Organized & Financially Focused: meticulous with budgets, reporting, and site organization.
- Personable & Communicative: able to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and teams.
- Independent & Honest: works confidently on your own while owning decisions and outcomes.
- Mobile: willing to travel to sites across BC for meetings and inspections.
- Education: post-secondary technical education in construction or related field (BCIT or equivalent).
