Role Description

This is a part-time volunteer internship role for a JavaScript/React.js Developer with remote contribution. The developer will be responsible for assisting in both front-end and back-end web development, contributing to software projects using JavaScript, React.js, and Redux.js.

The role involves working closely with a team of developers to build and maintain web applications, enhance UI components, implement UI/UX designs, optimize performance, manage application state, and integrate APIs. This opportunity is ideal for a passionate learner who wants hands-on experience in developing responsive and scalable web applications while contributing to meaningful projects.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining scalable React.js applications.
• Collaborate with designers and backend developers to implement UI/UX designs.
• Build reusable and modular components for better code maintainability.
• Optimize application performance and ensure fast rendering.
• Debug and troubleshoot front-end issues across various devices and browsers.
• Work with RESTful APIs and third-party services for seamless integration.
• Ensure responsiveness and accessibility of web applications.
• Stay updated with the latest React.js best practices and industry trends.
• Organize online/offline community events, webinars, and campaigns to foster deeper connections.
• Host and manage #TechFriday events to drive thought leadership and industry conversations.
• Manage BroadPress GitHub repositories, ensuring contributions, issue tracking, and documentation are well-organized.

Preferred Skills or Interest

• Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript (preferred).
• Understanding of state management libraries like Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
• Familiarity with React Hooks, functional components, and component lifecycle.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, Tailwind CSS, and Material-UI.
• Experience working with REST APIs and JSON data handling.
• Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
• Exposure to Next.js, GraphQL, or Firebase is a plus.
• Understanding of basic deployment and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
