About the Role:
A key business partner for the ME Logistics leadership team shaping the overall people strategy and direction for continual growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the cluster’s regional People strategy in line with the corporate strategies, ensuring vertical alignment and horizontal integration with other interfacing Division strategies across the cluster.
- Drive effective business performance management process, participate in performance awareness sessions, and support to set employee objectives aiming to ensure a continuous development of talents.
- Driving cost effective and efficient utilization of blue collar workforce ensuring engagement, discipline and motivation across large operational teams with hands on direction of rostering, workforce optimization and attendance systems & processes to align manpower planning with operational realities
- Drive a talent led People agenda ensuring robust performance management, talent management and succession management success. Drive the development of next generation emerging talent & high potentials.
- Build strong collaboration with Operations and Finance to drive data driven manpower and cost alignment
- Be highly visible across all sites & operations building credibility across worksites to build trust with front line teams and ensure HR compliance
- Ownership of the regional cluster Organisational design and Effectiveness ensuring successful recruitment, career pathing, succession planning and retention processes at the cluster to ensure best talents are available, employees have visibility into available career progression and there is a ready pool of successors for critical roles.
- Provide guidance in building and implementing Cluster’s Human Resources plans, initiatives and projects related, but not limited to, engagement, wellbeing, training.
- Provide the necessary advice in resolving employee matters, ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedure, and escalate issues that need management decision with a recommendation plan.
- Manage Division changes through continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
- Drive and embed strong employee engagement and internal communications across all teams.
- Own the regional cluster workforce plan and liaise with corporate HC&E in designing, forecasting and implementing the Emiratization plans, strategies and target ensuring to comply with the assigned budget.
- Maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders by overseeing and coordinating mutually beneficial relationships built on understanding of internal policies and strategic priorities.
People Management Responsibilites:
- Provide effective leadership, supervision, and coaching to the team under supervision.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and high performance.
- Identify skill gaps and training requirements for the teams to ensure consistent high performance.
- Facilitate open and effective communication within the team and across departments, ensuring team members are informed about the organization's goals and progress.
Strategic Responsibilities:
- Participate in the formulation of the overall cluster’s people strategy and ensure the alignment with the Group P&C strategy and objectives.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the cluster’s leadership team on People & Talent practices and ensure to answer their needs as per HC&E policies and regulations. Act as a coach and guide to business leaders.
- Monitor financial performance versus budget and report unanticipated costs or revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance, as well as potential areas for cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities to capitalize upon.
- Direct the annual manpower planning exercise and develop the cluster recruitment strategy.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus
- Professional Human Resource Certification (ex. SHRM, SPHR) is essential.
- Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage
- A minimum 15 years of HR experience with proven track record of leading HR for a Business Unit or function
- In-depth knowledge of UAE Labour law, government regulations, and industry standards
- Proficient in HRIS and other HR systems
- Deep understanding of HR principles, practices, and trends.
- Experience with presenting information to groups and managing projects.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performance teams.
