Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for a Business Analyst

We supply thousands of different vessel maintenance products, to thousands of different customers, in all corners of the world. Business Analysts and Business Controllers play an essential role in the development of the company by providing analysis and decision material to executive management and our wider network.

The Business Analyst plays a vital role across all areas of our organization, providing support through data collection, in-depth analysis, and the development of insightful models and dashboards for senior management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive meaningful change within a global organization and make a tangible impact on our operations.

Who you will work with:

As a Business Analyst, you will report to the Head of Business Performance and Financial Planning and collaborate closely with the Business Controllers and the Business Performance team. You will also engage with various stakeholders across the broader Group companies, contributing to cross-functional projects and initiatives.

What you will work on:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of PowerBI reports and dashboards, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and insightful.
  • Preparing and enhancing business reviews, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of performance.
  • Assisting with analysis and benchmarking of operational and financial data to provide actionable insights.
  • Collaborating on the creation and delivery of presentations to key decision-makers.
  • Supporting target setting for financial and operational KPIs and tracking performance against these metrics.
  • Engaging in day-to-day activities such as data preparation, reporting, and management support.


What we believe you need to succeed in the role:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an analytical or data-driven role; newly graduated students with relevant skills are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience in creating and managing PowerBI reports and dashboards.
  • Strong data handling skills and proficiency in PowerBI and Microsoft Office tools - particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with SQL is preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
