Regular/Senior Software Engineer C/C++, Embedded - Tietoevry Create (m/f/d)

Job Description

At Tietoevry Create, we design and develop cutting-edge software solutions that shape the digital future across industries. We are now looking for skilled and passionate engineers to join our embedded systems team, focusing on automotive infotainment projects. In this role, you will design and develop services and applications for platforms such as Linux, Android, and RTOS (QNX), integrating advanced audio processing solutions into vehicle systems. You will evaluate and select optimal technical solutions, build and verify automotive platforms with hypervisors and guest OSes, and ensure that software specifications are properly implemented and tested. You will also contribute to documenting and updating APIs for seamless internal and external integration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop services and applications in a high-level operating system environment, such as Linux, Android and RTOS (QNX) to integrate and configure audio processing solutions in the vehicle infotainment systems according to gathered requirements
• Evaluate different solutions and choose the most proper one which meets requirements and fit the architecture
• Build and verify automotive platform with hypervisor and guest OSes
• Test and verify software specifications have been implemented correctly in accordance with the development plan
• Document and update APIs for integration both internally and externally
  
  

Must Have

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development
• C/C++ programming (compiler, linker, memory, CRT, etc.)
• Experience with RTOS and embedded operating systems
• Hands-on experience in designing end-to-end solutions (from the Android application to the Host OS)
• Experience in development for QNX OS
• Hypervisor knowledge, build, configuration, guest VMs, esp. QNX Hypervisor, VirtIO
• Android experience, AOSP platform configuration, build systems
• Hands-on experience with any of the Inter-VM communication framework
• Proficiency in one of the Audio Software Systems: AudioReach, QNX Sound
• Solid communication skills in a global development team environment
• Fluent English
  
  

Nice To Have

• Knowledge of embedded/automotive Linux systems, including device drivers, kernels, build system, especially audio related drivers/ALSA etc
• Knowledge of Linux shell and Python scripting
• SoC SW development environment, including repo, compiling, debugging, logging, etc.
• Knowledge of Qualcomm automotive SoCs and toolchain
• Knowledge of communication protocols, e.g., UART, SPI, I2S, I2C
• Expertise in managing DSPs in a real-time environment
