JavaScript/Node.js Full-Stack Developer - +4 years of experience - Hybrid

For an European institution in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a hybrid JavaScript/Node.js Full-Stack Developer, who is proficient in both Front- and Back-end technologies, particularly JavaScript, Node.js, for deployment in Kubernetes.

Candidates need to be based in Belgium or willing to relocate to Brussels, when coming from abroad. Candidates need to be willing to work 3 days on-site/ 2 days from home.

Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is not provided. This position is open for contractors.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end applications with a focus on scalability and performance;
• Implement microservices architecture using Node.js for backend functionality, ensuring seamless integration with frontend components;
• Create responsive and user-friendly UI using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and reliability;
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the application development lifecycle;

Profile:

• Bachelor or Master degree;
• +4 years of Full-Stack Development experience;
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js for Front-End development;
• Extensive experience with Node.js for backend server development;
• Knowledge of Docker for containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes for deployment;
• Solid understanding of developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines;
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration;
• Knowledge of database management (SQL/NoSQL) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus;
• Fluent in English;
