The quality of our app is everything to us at Muzz and our QA team is at the heart of it. We’re looking for an Android Automation Engineer (SDET) to join our talented 7 strong team, to ensure we’re building an incredible product our members love.


Muzz is the world’s largest Muslim dating and marriage app. We’ve got over 12 million members and have helped more than 600,000 couples get married. We’re on our way to becoming the first $1 billion Muslim tech brand – but we need your help!


Day to day:

  • Expand our already extensive Android Test Suite
  • Identify and automate repetitive processes outside the codebase, whether in your own workload or across the company
  • Reproduce and troubleshoot overnight test failures
  • Raise well-defined bugs
  • Pair with engineers to debug and ensure test stability


Must-have experience

  • 5+ years in QA/Automation roles, with at least 2 years focused on Android
  • Proven Espresso and Jetpack Compose UI testing experience, including test rules, semantics, idling, testability hooks, and page-object patterns
  • Solid Kotlin skills with the ability to review app and test code
  • Comfortable with Gradle (AGP), AndroidJUnitRunner, and test orchestration on emulators
  • BDD framework integration. (Cucumber/Gherkin)
  • CI/C. (e.g. GitHub Actions)


Nice-to-haves

  • iOS UI testing (XCUITest / XCTest fundamentals) to coordinate cross-platform test plans.
  • Python (screenshot tooling, report aggregation)
  • Go (Backend end to end API testing).
  • Manual QA experience (exploratory, smoke/sanity, regression, risk-based testing).
  • Have trained manual QAs in Automation
