We are Plastic Wax - an independent and award-winning animation studio specializing in pre-rendered and in-engine animation, visual effects, motion capture, compositing, and a turnkey variety of creative services. For nearly 30 years our talented crew have worked with some of the world's most beloved properties, including Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones, Epic Mickey, Subnautica, and many more.
We have exciting new projects on the horizon, and are currently taking applications for Freelance VFX Editors.
We have built an international reputation for creating award-winning, cinematic content for partners such as Warner Bros., Marvel, Disney, Sony, Nickelodeon, HBO, Microsoft, Netflix, NBCUniversal and Fortnite.

Responsibilities:
- Manage existing project timelines and updates across multiple shows
- Export working edits for departmental, creative and production reviews
- Ensure all data is updated in ShotGrid
- Manage client deliverable exports
- Quality control of all deliverables
- Strong understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro
- Working knowledge of full Animation Pipeline
- Engage with Producers/Production, Dept Supervisor
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or previous editing experience in a CG or VFX studio
- Understanding of CG/VFX principles, editing and storytelling to communicate ideas
- Experience with Premiere Pro and Shotgrid
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving and technical skills
- Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to work as autonomously and as part of a team
- Able to edit quickly in a fast paced environment
- Positive and Proactive
