Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer specializing in WLAN, LAN, and Data Center (DC) network infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level network solutions to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance across all network layers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Network Design & Implementation
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WLAN, and Data Center networks across multiple sites.
- Configure and manage networking devices including switches, routers, wireless controllers, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Evaluate and implement network architectures following industry standards and security best practices.
Operations & Support
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide permanent solutions for recurring incidents.
- Manage network capacity, performance tuning, and optimization.
Security & Compliance
- Implement network security policies and controls including NAC, authentication, encryption, and segmentation.
- Ensure compliance with organizational IT security standards and regulatory requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and configuration documentation.
- Prepare reports on network utilization, incidents, and performance metrics.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to support business initiatives.
- Act as a technical escalation point for network-related projects and issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in LAN, WLAN, and Data Center network operations and design.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or equivalent vendor technologies.
- Experience with Wireless controllers, Access points, VLANs, STP, BGP, OSPF, QoS, VXLAN, SDN, and DC switching.
- Understanding of Network security tools (Firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, RADIUS, TACACS).
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and ticketing tools.
- Experience in multi-vendor environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cisco certifications (CCNA / CCNP / CCIE) or equivalent.
- Experience with SD-WAN, SD-Access, or Network Automation.
- Experience in large enterprise or service provider networks.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
