Senior Backend Developer

We’re looking for a senior backend developer to join the team behind a large, consumer-facing cloud storage service. The platform supports hundreds of thousands of active users, processes several million uploads every day, and manages billions of stored files. Your work will help the team scale the service further, improving speed, reliability, and overall security. The backend plays a central role across the entire product, creating a varied and technically engaging day-to-day environment.

The team develops primarily in Python 3. Engineers use whichever operating system and hardware they prefer, with full root access to their own machines.

You’ll work daily with Python, Postgres and Docker, so strong practical experience with these technologies is essential.

About You

• You enjoy working with a senior engineering team and writing clean, testable and well-structured code.
• You have experience contributing to complex, high-traffic systems and can help raise code quality across the team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant education OR equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong passion for software engineering.
• High proficiency in Python, Postgres, Docker and the *nix command line.
• Experience with Ansible and Kubernetes is a plus.
