Aircraft Hardware Systems Architect

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our growing team! In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of systems for unmanned aircraft. You will collaborate with experts in electronics, mechanics, software, and aeronautics to deliver reliable and cutting-edge solutions. Additionally, you will support team coordination and play a key role in mentoring junior engineers.
Your Responsibilities
Develop and maintain system architecture through models, diagrams, schematics, and other documentation.
Support the design and development of systems in alignment with project requirements.
Integrate hardware, software, and mechanical subsystems into complete operational systems.
Participate in system testing, verification, and validation processes.
Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, test plans, and reports.
Contribute to engineering reviews such as SRR, PDR, and CDR, and support risk management activities (e.g., FMEA).
Monitor and evaluate system performance during flight missions.
Coordinate tasks within a small team and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
Degree in an engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering).
Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and software engineering principles.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Some experience in team coordination or technical leadership is considered a plus.
Fluent in Latvian and English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with system modeling or simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SysML).
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and tools.
