Who We Are
Euromonitor International leads the world in data analytics and research into markets, industries, economies, and consumers. We provide truly global insight and data on thousands of products and services; we are the first destination for organisations seeking growth. With our guidance, our clients can make bold, strategic decisions with confidence.
What You Will Be Doing
You'll be joining a brand-new AI and R&D team at the ground floor — shaping the technical direction and building the foundation for scalable, production-grade AI systems. Reporting to the Head of AI and R&D, and working closely with software engineers, as well as cross-functional stakeholders, you'll lead early-stage experimentation on cutting-edge projects involving agentic LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and fine-tuning of foundation models. Your focus will span from proof-of-concept development to prototype design, validating new ideas and establishing the technical pathways toward scalable AI solutions that drive real business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of data science and AI initiatives from ideation to prototype
- Build, train, and evaluate LLM-based models and pipelines, including RAG and fine-tuning approaches
- Develop high-quality, well-documented Python code and reusable components for experimentation
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and software developers to move prototypes toward production readiness
- Design and maintain experimentation frameworks and model evaluation protocols
- Guide data exploration, feature engineering, and data quality assessments
- Stay at the forefront of research in LLMs, multi-agent systems, and applied generative AI
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members and help shape the data science culture
- Communicate insights, results, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and modern data science libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face, Plotly)
- Proven experience in AI/ML model development, with hands-on exposure to LLMs, RAG pipelines, and/or fine-tuning
- Solid understanding of machine learning principles, NLP, and deep learning architectures
- Experience designing and implementing proof-of-concept and prototype solutions
- Familiarity with vector databases, embedding models, and prompt engineering techniques
- Experience with data processing, feature engineering, Data Labeling and evaluation metrics
- Strong problem-solving and experimentation mindset; ability to move fast and iterate
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-moving R&D environment
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and MLOps practices
- (Nice to have) Experience leading small teams or mentoring other data scientists and/or machine learning engineers
What you'll get form us:
- Be a pioneer: Join a brand-new AI team and become one of the first engineers shaping its future
- Flexibility: Enjoy flexible working hours and a hybrid setup
- Global exposure: Work with stakeholders across multiple offices worldwide
- Cutting-edge tech: Experiment with emerging AI technologies, including LLMs and innovative approaches
- Collaboration: Partner with diverse teams and contribute to exciting, high-impact projects
The salary range for this position is between €5,000 and €6,500 / month gross.
