Our client looking for an experienced, hands-on HR Generalist to be the foundational pillar of our People Operations. You will own the entire employee lifecycle-from hire to retire-ensuring a compliant, engaging, and efficient experience for all employees. This is a critical role for scaling the culture and operations responsibly.

End-to-End HR Operations & Compliance

  • Policy Management: Develop, document, and implement foundational HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook in line with local labor laws and best practices.

  • Work Passes: Manage basic processes for employee work passes and compliance.

  • P-File Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and records.

  • Compliance Audits: Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

2. Payroll and Benefits Administration

  • Payroll Processing: Own the end-to-end monthly payroll cycle for all employees, ensuring accuracy, timely submission, and compliance with all tax and statutory requirements.

  • Benefits Management: Administer employee benefits programs, managing enrollment, changes, and annual renewals.

  • Leave Management: Oversee all leave administration (e.g., vacation, sick, parental leave) in accordance with company policy and legal mandates.

  • Compensation: Assist in benchmarking and structuring compensation bands to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.

3. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Recruitment Support: Manage the hiring process for all roles, including job posting, candidate screening, scheduling interviewsetc.

  • Offer Management: Generate and extend professional offer letters and employment contracts.

  • Onboarding: Design and execute a seamless, engaging onboarding program to ensure new hires are set up for success from Day 1.

4. Employee Relations & Culture

  • First Point of Contact: Serve as the initial point of contact for employees regarding HR queries, policy interpretations, and concerns.

  • Performance Management: Support managers in administering performance review cycles and addressing performance improvement plans (PIPs).

  • Culture: Act as a champion for the company culture, assisting with employee engagement initiatives, team events, and internal communications.

skills and experience required

  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a startup or small-to-midsize company.

  • Proven experience independently running end-to-end payroll (processing, tax filing, and compliance).

  • Deep understanding of the labor laws, employment standards, and statutory requirements.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high degree of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
