Data Security Specialist (Arabic Speaking) - Up to 30,000 QAR

Role Overview

The Security Operations Officer supports the organisation’s data protection programme by implementing controls, monitoring data activity, and ensuring sensitive information remains secure across on-premise, cloud, and AI environments. This role focuses on data security engineering, privacy compliance, cloud protection, and incident support.

Key Responsibilities

Data Protection

• Implement and operate data protection tools (DLP, masking, tokenisation, data discovery).
• Support secure data lifecycle management with application and infrastructure teams.
• Monitor data security posture and produce compliance/risk reports.

Cloud Data Security

• Apply data security controls across Azure and GCP environments.
• Secure databases, data lakes, and cloud storage with encryption and access controls.
• Manage secrets, cloud-native data discovery, and AI data governance.

Cryptography & Key Management

• Enforce cryptographic standards and key lifecycle processes.
• Manage encryption for data at rest, in transit, and in use.

Privacy & Compliance

• Support compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, PDPPL and internal privacy requirements.
• Embed privacy-by-design principles and manage data classification efforts.

Database Security

• Harden and monitor structured and unstructured data environments.
• Implement DAM solutions and conduct regular database security reviews.

Incident & Assessment Support

• Assist with data-related incident investigations and response.
• Participate in data security assessments and vendor evaluations.
• Maintain dashboards and KPIs for data protection performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information security, focusing on data protection or cloud data security.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure or GCP.
• Arabic fluency is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Certifications

• CISSP, CCSP, CDPSE, CCSK
• Cloud security certifications (Azure/GCP/AWS)
