About the Role
We are looking for a Release Manager to oversee the end-to-end release cycle for enterprise projects, ensuring smooth delivery, governance compliance, and effective stakeholder communication. This role requires strong coordination skills, operational excellence, and the ability to manage multiple releases across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the release calendar, ensuring alignment with project timelines and business priorities.
- Define and enforce release governance processes, including approvals, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
- Coordinate with development, QA, operations, and business teams to plan, schedule, and execute releases.
- Monitor release readiness, dependencies, and potential risks; implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate release planning meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communications.
- Ensure proper documentation of release notes, deployment plans, and rollback strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in release management processes and tools.
- Support incident management and post-release reviews to identify lessons learned.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Release Management, Project Governance, or IT Operations.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience managing releases in multi-platform environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid).
- Proficiency in release management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
