What The Role Offers
- Enthusiastic and supportive team from various backgrounds locally in Tampere and globally in USA, Canada, and India.
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs for data ingestion, processing, and analytics.
- Build scalable and maintainable software components using modern development practices.
- Collaborate with fellow developers and product managers to help integrate features and AI/ML models into the platform.
- Participate in each step of the SDLC to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Contribute to system design and architecture discussions.
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance across the stack.
- Curiosity and a forward-looking mindset to build great software products.
- One, or a few years of experience in software engineering.
- Programming skills in Golang, Java, Python, or similar.
- Familiarity with containerization and container orchestration (Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (GCP).
- Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and preferably some data frameworks (Apache Spark or alike).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience in AI-assisted development is a big plus.
- Exposure to data warehousing, data lakes, and emerging lakehouse technologies.
- Exposure to streaming technologies like Kafka.
