Role Overview
You will manage and support high-voltage operations within the electricity department. The role involves leading field activities, ensuring safe and reliable network performance, and supporting continuous power operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain high-voltage equipment
- Lead switching, isolation, tagging, and restoration procedures
- Review technical drawings, schematics, and documentation
- Inspect substations, feeders, and HV networks for abnormalities
- Coordinate closely with control room and operations teams
- Plan shutdowns, energization, and network reconfiguration tasks
- Supervise contractors during field/maintenance activities
- Ensure full compliance with safety standards and permit systems
- Prepare reports and monitor network performance indicators
- Support incident investigations and root-cause analysis
- Minimum 15 years in high-voltage operations
- Strong background in electricity department or utility-level work
- Proven experience in substation operation and maintenance
- Hands-on knowledge of protection systems, relays, and testing
- Deep understanding of safety rules, permits, LOTO, and procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Strong communication, supervision, and field leadership skills
