About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer to join our client's dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is based in Edinburgh or London with a hybrid working model, offering a flexible working environment that balances remote work with on-site collaboration. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting a significant technology transformation initiative for a leading UK pensions provider. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to building scalable, high-performance systems using modern technologies such as C#, .NET, .NET Core, and ReactJS.

Qualifications

  • Proven commercial experience with C#, .NET, or .NET Core development
  • Strong proficiency in ReactJS and front-end development
  • Experience in system design and backend architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical workstreams and collaborate effectively within teams
  • Expertise in database performance tuning and optimisation techniques
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and CI/CD practices
  • Prior experience working in Agile environments is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performing full-stack applications using C#, .NET, and ReactJS
  • Lead and coordinate technical workstreams, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver innovative solutions
  • Optimise database queries and architecture to enhance system performance and reliability
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high code quality standards
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools, including CI/CD pipelines
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and communicate progress effectively
  • Support the deployment and ongoing maintenance of applications in cloud environments, primarily Azure
