We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack .NET Engineer to join our client's dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is based in Edinburgh or London with a hybrid working model, offering a flexible working environment that balances remote work with on-site collaboration. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting a significant technology transformation initiative for a leading UK pensions provider. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to building scalable, high-performance systems using modern technologies such as C#, .NET, .NET Core, and ReactJS.

Qualifications
- Proven commercial experience with C#, .NET, or .NET Core development
- Strong proficiency in ReactJS and front-end development
- Experience in system design and backend architecture
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical workstreams and collaborate effectively within teams
- Expertise in database performance tuning and optimisation techniques
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and CI/CD practices
- Prior experience working in Agile environments is preferred
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performing full-stack applications using C#, .NET, and ReactJS
- Lead and coordinate technical workstreams, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to best practices
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver innovative solutions
- Optimise database queries and architecture to enhance system performance and reliability
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to maintain high code quality standards
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools, including CI/CD pipelines
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and communicate progress effectively
- Support the deployment and ongoing maintenance of applications in cloud environments, primarily Azure
