Your new role

You will be responsible for enhancing an AWS environment, including assessing and implementing a wide range of AWS services and tools to support the AWS Platform and deployment pipelines for both internal and external applications. You will work closely with architecture, engineering, IT, Networks, and business stakeholders to build secure, highly available, and cost-efficient applications and services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing technical guidance and direction to architecture and engineering teams
• Enhancing the Cloud Platform to drive better business outcomes
• Advising engineering teams on new AWS services and capabilities
• Ensuring compliance with security, operational, and cloud policies through automation
• Collaborating with stakeholders to solve technical problems using cloud-native services
• Championing technical solutions internally and externally
• Identifying and promoting improvements in processes and tooling
• Designing and delivering infrastructure-as-code and service development solutions

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong knowledge of AWS technologies and services
• Experience designing solutions across a broad set of AWS services
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, C#, C++), with Python preferred
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (CloudFormation, CDK)
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and best practices
• Experience creating CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline
• Familiarity with ITSM/SRM/CMDB tools (e.g., Jira Service Management, BMC Helix)
• Experience working in agile environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
• Self-directed, autonomous, and collaborative mindset
• Commitment to learning new technologies and applying security best practices
